R+P Post 27: Casting

We decided that it would be best for me to play the part of solo artist Layla Ade due to my previous performing experience. As I am part of the group it also meant that I would be a reliable person, preventing us from being let down by external actors.

We decided to cast Andy as the unnamed boy that carries the non studio based narrative in our music video. We knew that we wanted a black male for this role as relations between Police and people of colour is a difficult and relevant topic. We also picked Andy due to his previous modelling experience which helped as he was already comfortable and confident in front of the camera.
